Terms of use

Draft for review. This text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before EaseBill launches.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the EaseBill mobile app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use EaseBill.

2. What EaseBill does

  • Holds a naira wallet you can fund by card, bank transfer or USSD through Paystack.
  • Lets you receive, buy, sell and send supported cryptocurrencies through our partner Quidax.
  • Lets you withdraw naira to Nigerian bank accounts and pay airtime, data, TV and electricity bills through VTPass.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18, give accurate details and keep your password, transaction PIN and phone secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.

Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we help.

4. Crypto trading and risk

Crypto prices change quickly and can fall as well as rise. EaseBill does not give investment advice. Only trade what you can afford to lose.

Before you confirm a trade the app shows the price, EaseBill’s fee and the exact naira or crypto amount. A quote is valid for a short time; if the market moves too far before you confirm, we’ll ask you to review a new price.

Crypto sent to a wrong address or on the wrong network usually can’t be recovered. Always check the address and network before sending.

5. Fees

Fees for crypto trades and withdrawals are shown in the app before you confirm. Bill payments are charged at the price shown for the product you choose.

6. Failed payments and refunds

If a bill payment or bank withdrawal fails, the amount is returned to your EaseBill wallet. If a provider confirms a payment but you didn’t receive the service, contact us with the reference on your receipt and we’ll investigate.

7. Things you must not do

  • Use EaseBill for fraud, money laundering, or with cards or accounts that aren’t yours.
  • Create more than one account to claim referral rewards.
  • Try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

8. Suspension and closing your account

We may pause or close an account to protect you, other customers or EaseBill, for example if we see signs of fraud. You can close your account in the app; your wallet must be empty before it can be deleted.

9. Liability

We work hard to keep EaseBill available and accurate, but we aren’t responsible for losses caused by events outside our control, including outages at our partners or on blockchain networks.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will show the new date above. Questions? Contact us.
